Peter Bonate is the Senior Director of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics at Genzyme in San Antonio. He received his PhD in Medical Neurobiology from Indiana University, an MS in statistics from the University of Idaho, and an MS in Pharmacology from Washington State University. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and the American College of Clinical Pharmacology, is a section editor for the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, and has or is serving on the editorial board for Pharmaceutical Research and the AAPS Journal. He is the founder of the Modeling and Simulation focus group, has served as the Population Pharmacokinetics focus group leader, and is the 2008 Chair-elect for the Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Research Section of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. He has more than 40 publications, is the co-editor of the 2-volume series "Pharmacokinetics in Drug Development", and is author of the best seller "Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic Modeling and Simulation".
