Marc Pfister, M.D. FCP, is an Executive Director, Research and Development and Head of the Strategic Modeling and Simulation group at Bristol Myers Squibb, Princeton, NJ. Dr. Pfister is a trained clinical pharmacologist, internist and nephrologist. Prior to joining Bristol Myers Squibb, he was an Associate Clinical Director at Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals and a clinical research fellow at the Medical Center, University of California San Francisco. Dr. Pfister has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences, a section editor for the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, co-chair of ACoP (American Conference on Pharmacometrics) and the MoSAiC organization (Modeling & Simulation Applications in Clinical Pharmacotherapy). His professional interest is to foster quantitative decision making in drug development by strategically applying advanced modeling and simulation tools and techniques.
