Prasad Ramakrishna received his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He completed his doctoral studies at Purdue University specializing in Biochemical Engineering within the department of Chemical Engineering. Subsequently, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Biomedical Engineering department at UC San Diego. Dr. Ramakrishna has been working as a mathematical modeler in the Biotech and Pharma industry for about 9 years and joined Novartis in 2006. His areas of interests are systems modeling of biological systems and transport phenomena in biological systems.
